Margaret M. Buchholz, age 100, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Michalene’s in Ripon.
Margaret was born August 15, 1912, in Wautoma, the daughter of Emil and Ida (Jahns) Nitz. She was educated in Princeton schools. On June 20, 1936, Margaret married Leonard Buchholz in Menomonee Falls, WI. She was employed with Advertisers as an inspection supervisor for over 25 years making her a member of the 25 year club. Margaret was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne (Gary) Smith of Mundelein, IL; one grandson, Jason (Young) Smith of Torrance, CA; one brother-in-law, Maurice (Gloria) Buchholz of Tacoma, WA and three sisters-in-law, Helen Sawall of Oshkosh, WI, Donna (Chester) Burton of Ripon, WI and Val Buchholz of Winter Haven, FL. Margaret is further survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leonard; four sisters, Lena Bushweiler, Edna East, Laura Fredrick and Alice Buchholz and two brothers, Arthur and Walter Nitz.
Visitation for Margaret will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, from 10 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Margaret will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Pastor Joshua Pegram will officiate. Interment will follow at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to Generations Home Care and Hospice, 1020 S. Main St. #B, Fond du Lac, WI 54935 or Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 W. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI 54971.
