Margaret Janes

Margaret Ruth Janes, 91, of 50 Wolverton Ave. , Ripon, died Friday morning July 30, 1999, at Parkview Care Center.

Margaret was born the daughter of Grant and Minnie (Wellnitz) Sargent in Green Lake. She graduated from Green Lake High School and on June 26, 1926 she married Vergne P. Janes and made their home in Green Lake. Margaret was a member of the Federated Church of Green Lake, Royal neighbors, and Bluffton Card Party Group. She also volunteered with the American Red Cross. She also worked at the Green Lake High School as a baker.

Survivors include two sons; Eugene (Darlene) Janes of Green Lake, and Richard (Audrey) Street of Tuscon, AZ. Six Grandchildren, eight great.grandchildren, and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband Vergne, her parents, one son, and one sister.

Funeral services for Margaret will be held on Monday, August 2, 1999 at the Federated Church of Green Lake at 11:30 AM with the Rev. Karen Gygax Rodriguez officiating. Friends may call on Monday, August 2, at the church from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Bluffton Cemetery in the Town of Brooklyn. Memorials can be made out to the Federated Church of Green Lake in her name.
