Margaret A. Kuharske, 84, of Wisconsin Rapids, formerly of rural Green Lake, passed away on Friday evening July 21, 2006 at Strawberry Lane Medical Center in Wisconsin Rapids with her daughter and granddaughter at her side.
Margaret was born on November 20, 1921 in the Township of Green Lake, a daughter to James K. and Ella (Wilke) Young. She attended Maple Lawn School, a Green Lake County one room school thru 8th grade, and graduated from Ripon High School in 1938. She married Edmund J. Kuharske on October 15, 1947 in Princeton. Since 1947 Margaret has been a housewife and has farmed. She enjoyed her large flower gardens, bird watching, making meals for her family and friends, and playing the organ. She was a lifelong member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary (Jon) Nennig of Wisconsin Rapids, two granddaughters, Heather and Hannah; one brother, Robert (Joan) Young of Green Bay; special niece/Goddaughter Sally (Jerome) Gehrke of Oshkosh, special nephew Lee (Vicki) Ninneman of Cottage Grove, and other nieces and nephews. She is further survived by three sisters-in-law, Irene Winiecki of Princeton and Lucille Kris of Hanover, Maryland and Evangeline (Everette) Bandt of Neshkoro; one brother-in-law, Ray (Delores) Kuharske of Princeton. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edmund on October 23, 1982, one sister, Mary Ninneman, one brother James F. Young, one sister-in-law Bernice Badenna and one brother-in-law Leslie Ninneman.
Visitation for Margaret A. Kuharske will be held on Monday, July 24, 2006 from 4:30-7:30 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon. There will also be visitation on Tuesday July 25, 2006 from 9:30 10:30 am at Our Saviours United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon.
Funeral Services will be held on July 25, 2006 at 10:30 am at Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon, with Rev. Mark R. West officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A Mem+orial has been established.
