Margaret Loberg Schmidt

Margaret Loberg Schmidt “Peg”, age 85, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Maplecrest in Ripon.
Peggy was born May 13, 1930, in Iola, WI, the daughter of Paul and Belle (Scott) Michaelis. She resided in Green Lake since 1950, where she raised four children in the community. Peggy was an avid golfer, Packer fan, traveler and animal lover.
She leaves behind her four children, Paul (Patricia Smith) Loberg and John (Susan Curran) Loberg both of Green Lake, WI, Margi (Carl) Vorder Bruegge of Greenwich, CT and Kitty (Todd) Theiler of Janesville, WI. Peggy is further survived by eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, special friend, James DeGoey of Kaukana, WI; sister, Paula (Robert) Lynch of CA and brother-in-law, Ron Engebretson of Menomonie Falls, WI. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Belle; husband, Arnold Schmidt and sister, Patricia Engebretson.
Per Peggy’s wishes, there will be a private visitation time with a graveside service at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Green Lake Area Animal, P.O. Box 86, Green Lake, WI 54941 or www.glaas.org/donate/.
Peggy was a people person who opened her heart and home to anyone in need, people or animal.
