Margaret "Muggs" Helgeson

Margaret “Muggs” H. Helgeson, age 97, of Markesan, WI, passed on to heaven peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at Markesan Resident Home in Markesan.
She was born August 8, 1914, in Green Lake, WI, to Thomas and Cecelia (Naparrala) Dolske. Muggs attended and graduated from Green Lake High School in 1932. In August of 1942, she married Thomas C. Helgeson in Waynesboro, NC. Most of her life was spent in Green Lake as an active and productive member of the community. For several years she worked as a dental assistant to Dr. L.C. Milliken of Green Lake. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. Muggs served her parish at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake in many ways.
Margaret is survived by a son, Thomas (Debbie) Helgeson of Kailua Kona, HI; daughter, Bonnie (Bo) Price of Green Lake, WI; granddaughter, Jennifer (Kirk) Albertson and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Jane. She is further survived by two nieces and one nephew. Her parents and three sisters, Lucille Lemonske, Gladys Dolske and Eleanor Dolske preceded her in death.
Visitation for Margaret Helgeson will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011, from
9 – 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St. Green Lake, WI 54941.
Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Helgeson will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Father Philip Krogman will officiate. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. Memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s Association, Southeast WI, 620 South 76th St., Suite 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
