Margaret E. Penke, 84, of Willowbrook Apts. 615 Oshkosh St. Ripon, died July 17, 1994, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh, WI.
Margaret Penke was born July 16, 1910, in the Town of Berlin to Ernest and Anna Abe Sauerbrei. Margaret was educated in Ripon and on March 5, 1930, she married George Penke. He passed away on June 6, 1988. She was a lifelong resident of the Ripon area and was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and the Mary Martha Circle.
Survivors include two sons, Lloyd (Helen) Penke of Brandon and Norman (Linda) Penke of Ripon; one daughter, Elizabeth (Lloyd) Williams of Oshkosh; one brother, Clarence Sauerbrei of Markesan, six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Penke was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
Friends may call Tuesday, July 19, 1994 from 5 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon.
Funeral service for Mrs. Penke will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 1994, at 1 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Ray Steger officiating. Interment will be in Loper Cemetery in the Town of Ripon.
A memorial in her name has been established for Immanuel United Methodist Church.
