Margaret H. Senn, age 98, passed away Sunday, February 02, 2003 at Michalene’s, Ripon.
Margaret was born November 17, 1904 in Ripon, a daughter to William and Bertha (Voelker) Welk. She was educated in Ripon and attended Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee. On November 15, 1941, she married Dr. C.U. Senn. Margaret was employed as a manager at Bay Shore Shopping Center, Whitefish Bay, before her retirement. She then lived in Three Lakes, WI. before returning to Ripon. She was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon, Golden Rule OES #194, Milwaukee, American Legion Auxillary #43, Ripon, Ripon Medical Center Auxillary, and the Ripon Historical Society. Margaret had a deep love for life and her family.
Survivors include nephews; Roy (Doris) Burger, Madison, WI., Robert (Kathy) Konrad, Grafton, WI., and Glen Welk, Chandler, MN. Nieces; Velma Stevens, St. Paul, MN., Gwendolyn (William) Fillis, Luverne, MN., Ardys Dirckx, Colton, S.D., LaVerne (Harold) Toussaint, Ripon, Carol McElroy of Ripon and Carol Konrad of Neshkoro. She is also survived by many great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces. She will be sadly missed by her family of friends at Silver Creek Manor.
Services will be Wednesday, February, 5, 2003 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, all at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Rev. Margaret G. Richardson Zedan will officiate. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, City of Ripon. Memorials may be directed to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon, Hospice Hope/Central WI. Branch, 114 N. Pearl St. Berlin, WI 54923, Ripon Historical Society, American Legion Auxillary #43, Ripon or Ripon Medical Center Auxillary. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Ripon Medical Center, Parkview Care Center and their nursing staff, Michalene’s and staff, and a special “thank you” to Hospice/Hope of Berlin.
