Margaret Waits

Margaret Irene Waits, age 81, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh, WI with her family by her side.

Margaret was born on January 29, 1929, at her home in the Town of Lake, WI, the daughter of Emil and Florence (Brown) Schmidt. She graduated from Pulaski High School in Milwaukee, WI. On November 23, 1969, Margaret married John Waits in Yuma, AZ.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Darwin) Hoefert of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Dawn (Robert) Johnson of Deerfield, WI, Laura Luebke of Oakfield, WI, Dylan (Renee) Hoefert of West Bend, WI, Candace Hoefert of New York, NY and Suzanne (Mario) Cristerna of Oshkosh, WI; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Elizabeth Johnson, Mitchell and Alaina Luebke, Kiah and Kezya Hoefert, Hailey Hasenberg, Alejandro, Andres and David Cristerna; sisters, Florence Rahn of Sussex, WI and Lillian (James) Martens of Milwaukee, WI; brother, Walter (Ann) Schmidt of New Berlin, WI; nephews and nieces, Natalie (Jerry) Hesse of Sussex, WI, Noel (Kathy) Rahn, Mishawaka, IN, Scotty, Jeanne, Bonnie and Walt Schmidt of New Berlin, WI, Kurt (Karen) Schmidt of Burlington, WI, Eric (Beth) Martens of Milwaukee, WI, Brian (Jeanne) Martens of Grandchute, WI; eleven grand nieces and nephews; seven great-grand nieces and nephews; special friend, Lesa Sauerbrei of Ripon and many cousins, care givers and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by parents, husband and brother-in-law, Adolph Rahn.

Visitation for Margaret Waits will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010, from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church, 55 Prairie Rd. Fond du Lac, WI 54935.

Funeral Service for Margaret Waits will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010, at 2:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac, WI. Pastor Dennis Meier will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Prescott National Cemetery in Prescott, AZ. Memorials are being established in her name.
