On September 12, 2009, by Gods grace Margaret Evelyn Wastrack was called home to her eternal rest, earned for her by the death and resurrection of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Margaret was born in West Allis, WI. on August 21, 1929, the daughter of William and Evelyn (Dexter) Wuske. She was baptized in West Allis. The family moved to Pella, WI. and then to Green Lake, WI. Margaret was confirmed at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Green Lake. In 1947 Margaret graduated from Green Lake High School. She then attended Green Lake County Normal School, graduating in 1949. On July 7, 1951 she married Carlton Wastrack. Margaret taught at various one room schools in Green Lake, and in Fond du Lac counties. She finished her teaching career at Henderson School, near Ripon. She later assisted Carlton as bookkeeper with the family business, Wuske Station, on Inlet Road. Margaret was active in her church singing in the choir, as a member of the Ladies Aid and the Fellowship league. She printed many napkins for weddings, confirmations, and the Green Lake State Bank. She was a 4-H leader for area clubs. In 1988 Carlton and Margaret retired and became active with the Senior Citizens in Green Lake. She enjoyed playing cards with friends. They enjoyed many bus trips to various states.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 58 years, Carlton, two daughters, Judy of Wausau, and Donna of Green Lake, and a sister Mable (Daniel) Boese of Green Lake; 2 sisters-in-law, Norma Wastrack of North Fond du Lac; and Lenora Hilke of Ripon; as well as many nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, Edward, and her parents.
Visitation for Margaret will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009, from 5 7:00 P.M. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, again Tuesday, September 15, 2009, from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake.
Funeral services for Margaret will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake. Reverend Rodney E. Dietscke will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Dartford Cemetery of Green Lake. A memorial has been established to the Peace Lutheran Church Parking Lot Fund.
