Margaret Whipps, age 91, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Prairie Place in Ripon.
Margaret was born on October 12, 1920, in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (O’Neil) Spinks. She graduated from Cleveland High School, St. Louis, MO and from
1938 – 2002, Margaret lived in Torrance, CA and then moved to Green Lake, WI. Margaret worked most of her career for Howard Hughes Corporation in the Labor Relations Department in California. While living in California, she loved to garden and do water color painting. Margaret also traveled extensively with her husband, Jack Whipps.
Survivors include her brother, Robert Spinks of Green Lake, WI and niece, Kim Mandele of Sugargrove, IL. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack and sister, Ruth Owens.
Per Margaret’s wishes there will be no visitation or memorial service. A memorial is being established.
In her last years, Margaret was lovingly cared for by the staffs at Kindred Hearts, Prairie Place and Hospice.
