Margarette (Marge) Magdelena Cushing, 72, of Green Lake Terrace, Markesan, Green Lake Co., WI, died May 21, 2001, at her home.
She was born December 10, 1928, in Chicago, IL, a daughter to John and Magdelena (Chackey) Markeli. She attended school at Little Calumet High in Chicago, IL, then graduated from Hononegah High School, Rockton, IL; before moving to Rockford in 1945. On August 5, 1950, she married Vernon Cushing, and they moved to Green Lake in 1987. Marge was a retired office clerk from Eagle Foods. She was a member of Calvery Lutheran Church in Princeton, WI, Princeton Homemakers Society, The Oners Club in Ripon and TOPS of Green Lake.
Survivors include 1 son, Michael (Pam) Cushing of Rockton, IL; 1 daughter, Linda Wold (Marc Rohr), Rockford, IL; 1 granddaughter, Amanda Cushing of Rockford, IL; 1 brother, John (Elaine) Markeli of Mundelein, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995, and parents.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at 12 noon at Sunset Memorial Garden in Rockford, IL. Visitation from 10 to 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in North Burritt Union Cemetery.
