Marian Chier

Marian M. Chier, age 94, formerly of Green Lake, died Sunday, May 19, 1996, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon where she had resided the past 14 months.

She was born December 29, 1901, in Green Lake County, the daughter of the late Fred John and Mary (Bork) Sievert. Marian was educated in the Green Lake Schools. She later married Louis Chier on November 14, 1923. Marian had lived in Berlin and Green Lake most of her life, and had cooked at private homes around the lake. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake in Green Lake and the parish ladies. She was the last Charter Member of the Green Lake Willis-Chapel Legion Post #306.

Mrs. Chier is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, 3 brothers, 6 sisters, and a special nephew, Cl are M. Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday, May 22, 1996, at 11 A.M. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake with Father John R. Dowd officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 A.M. until the hour of the service at the church. Burial will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake.
