Marie E. Gordon, age 78, formerly of Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, October 25, 1993, at her home in Green Lake, WI.
She was born on September 23, 1915, in Green Lake, WI, the daughter of Gustav and Linda (Dumdey) Winkauf. She was educated in Green Lake, and in May of 1940, she married George Gordon. Mrs. Gordon was a medical records secretary in Springfield, MA and had been a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Springfield. Marie has been a resident of Green Lake for the past two years.
She is survived by two daughters, Gayle (Paul) Brooks of Anchorage, Alaska and Kathleen (Arthur) Arcouette of Agawam, MA; three sons, E.G. (Patricia) Gordon of Wilbraham, MA, James Gordon of Miami, FL, and Kenneth (Sarah) Gordon of Westfield, MA; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Louise Powers and Anita Hyland, both of Green Lake, WI; and two brothers, Edward Winkauf of Oshkosh, WI and Gus Weinkauf of Woodburn, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and one sister.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 1993, at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to St. Agnes Hospice, c/o Berlin Hospital.
