Marie E. Kunkle, age 77, of Brandon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 1986, at St. Marys Hospital in Madison.
Marie was born August 3, 1909, in Granom, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Michael and Wilhelmine (Huber) Eisenbeis. She was educated in South Dakota. On July 16, 1930, she married Sylvester Kunkle in Montrose, SD. Marie was a waitress for various restaurants such as Peachys Restaurant and the Green Giant Canteen. She most recently worked as a nurses aid at Waupun Memorial Hospital retiring in 1964. Marie was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church of Eldorado and a member of the Ladies Aid and Rosendale Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two sons, Donald of Rosendale and Dale of Rosendale; one daughter, Donna (Woodrow) Baker of Waupun; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Tillie Feddersen of Perry, IA, Louise Landt of Farhamville, IA and Olga (Bob) Polchow of Canistota, SD. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation for Marie will be held on Friday, December 5, 1986, from 5 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and then again Saturday, December 6, 1986, from 12 1:30 pm at St. Peters Lutheran Church.
Funeral Service for Marie will be held on Saturday, December 6, 1986, at 1:30 pm at St. Peters Lutheran Church with Reverend Carl Lindemann officiating. Interment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale. A memorial has been established.
