Marie J. Parsons, age 82, of Berlin, WI, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh, WI.
Marie was born on May 26, 1929, in Berlin, the daughter of Martin and Laura (Polly) Piepiorka. She attended St. Michael’s Catholic School. Marie married Alvin Wallace and with his passing she married Arnold Alvin and then after his death Marie married Captain David Parsons. She owned three restaurants, Booth’s Dairy Bar in Berlin, A Little Red School House Restaurant and Maria’s Family Restaurant of Green Lake. She loved animals, cooking, meeting and talking to people.
Survivors include three children, Mary L. (Charles) Seaman, Thomas J. (Sandra) Wallace and Gerald M. (Jackie) Wallace all of Berlin, WI; four step-children, Judith A. Schley of Wautoma, WI, James A. (Susan) Wallace of Berlin, WI, John J. “Jack” (Beverly) Wallace of Berlin, WI and Kathryn M. (David) Darnick of Berlin, WI; grandchildren, Luke B. Seaman of Honolulu, Hawaii, Matthew Wallace of Green Lake, WI, Tammy Wallace of New York, NY, Timothy (Dawn) Wallace of Berlin, WI, Corey (Jody) Wallace of Oshkosh, WI, Jimmy (Amy) Wallace of Minneapolis, MN, Kristin (Mark) Verburgt of Omro, WI and Eric Darnick of Ripon, WI; great-grandchildren, Meghan Wallace, Taylor Wallace, Sophie Wallace, Orion Seaman and Breanne and Alyssa Verburgt; brother, Joseph Piepiorka of Berlin, WI and her best friend, Sister Jude Seaman of Berlin, WI. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Alvin, Arnold and Captain David and two sisters, Clara Schmidt and Irene Polly.
Visitation for Marie Parsons will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, from 9 – 10:30 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Marie Parsons will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 10:30 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend Mark R. West will officiate. Entombment will take place at Ledgeview Memorial Park/Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in the Town of Empire. Memorials may be directed to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon or Green Lake Area Animal Shelter, N6217 Busse Dr. P.O. Box 86, Green Lake, WI 54941.
