Marie Alvina Stracy, age 80, of Ripon, WI, died Tuesday, May 10, 1988, at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon.
Marie was born January 12, 1908, in the Town of Newton, WI, in Marquette County to Henry and Ida Podoll Splittgerber. On June 20, 1928, she married Elmer Stracy. Marie worked as a liner worker at R-Line Foods in Ripon. She was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon. Marie was a member of the Women’s Guild, Harmonica Rascals and Royal Neighbors.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Stracy of Ripon and Donald Stracy of Nekoosa; one daughter, Mary Weiland of Colgate; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband on August 9, 1959.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 12, 1988, from 5 – 8:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 13, 1988, at 1:30 pm at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon with the Reverend James Mohr officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
