Marilyn A. Patrick

Marilyn A. Patrick, age 87, of Waupun, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, WI.

Marilyn was born at home on January 26, 1937, in Ripon, WI, the fourth child of Emil and Alma (Retzlaff) Stark. She attended school in Ripon and graduated from Ripon High School in 1955. During high school she was involved with the girls chorus and mixed chorus, band, dance band, Tiger and Tigerettes. Marilyn was in Girl Scouts from Brownies all the way to the end of high school. During her junior and senior years she was a Brownie leader. She earned her bachelor’s degree at UW-Oshkosh and graduated in 1960. After college she started teaching 1st and 2nd graders for over 30 years in Mayville and Menomonee Falls. In 1975, Marilyn married Bruce H. Patrick and they made their home on the Patrick farm in the Town of Waupun.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Patrick of Waupun, WI; a sister, Verna Herreid of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Alma Stark; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Lillian Stark and Marvin and Marilyn Stark; and brother-in-law, Roger Herreid.

Visitation for Marilyn will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Memorial service for Marilyn will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell and Rev. Annette Wolf officiating.
