Marion Buchholz

Mrs. Marion Belle Buchholz, 82, formerly of Ripon, died May 16, 1989, at Gibson Community Hospital, Gibson City, IL.
She was born November 22, 1906, in Rush Lake, a daughter to August and Bertha Belau Diedrich. On June 6, 1932, she married Alfred A. Buchholz in Ripon.
Mrs. Buchholz was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist. She taught in the rural schools in the Ripon area and she operated the Root Beer Stand in Ripon with her husband. Since 1984 she has resided in Rantoul, IL.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Roger of Rantoul; two grandchildren; two great-grandsons and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Diedrich of Ripon. She was preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 19, 1989, at 10:00 am at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. The Reader will be Lenore Dickman. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon.
Friends may call Friday from 9:00 am until the hour of services at the funeral home.
