Marion G. Daehn, age 80, of Ripon, passed away Friday evening, November 5, 2004, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon

She was born February 6, 1924, in the Town of Green Lake, a daughter to Paul and Katie (Baird) Ehrenberg. Marion graduated from Ripon High School. On April 11, 1942, she married Marvin Daehn at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Markesan. In her early years, she was a telephone operator in Markesan and Ripon. Later, for many years, she was manager of Pries Apparel Shop in Ripon, then worked in the Ripon Co-op for several years, and most recently was bookkeeper for King’s Floor Covering. She was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon, the Ladies Aid, Financial Committee of the church, and a Charter Member of the Ripon Lioness Club.

Surviving are 4 children, Susan Robinson of Neshkoro, James (B.G.) Daehn of Janesville, Patti (Lynn) Anderson of Neshkoro, and Jon (Debra) Daehn of Oak Creek; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Joan Ehrenberg of Ripon and Florence Daehn of Hot Springs Village, AR; aunt, Dorothy Wisnefke of Oshkosh; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; son-in-law, Eric Robinson; 2 grandchildren, Russell and Megan; 3 brothers, Lewis, Roy, and Robert; 2 brothers-in-law; and 1 sister-in-law.

Funeral service for Marion G. Daehn will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 8, 2004, at Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Pastor Paul Mose officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, and again on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Green Lake Center Cemetery, Town of Green Lake. Memorials may be given to Mount Zion Lutheran Church in her name.
