Marion Emogene Giffey, a loving mother and good wife, died at the age of 74, Wednesday afternoon, March 27, 2002, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She resided at N7107 County Hwy M, Rosendale, Town of Springvale.
She was born March 17, 1928, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Theodore Rufus and A. Doris (Ziegenhagen) Robbins. She graduated from Rosendale High School. On August 26, 1950, she married Oscar Myron Giffey at Peace Lutheran Church, Rosendale, and was a homemaker. Marion was a home health aide for 15 years. Mrs. Giffey was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Rosendale. She enjoyed water aerobics, artwork (oil painting), quilting, and traveling.
Surviving are her husband, Oscar Giffey of Rosendale; son, Myron Giffey & wife Jenelle of Eldorado; daughter, Christine Giffey-Brohaugh & husband Christopher of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Joshua & Zachary Giffey of Eldorado, Acadia, Rachel & Phoebe Giffey-Brohaugh of Seattle, WA; sisters, Alma Broadway & husband Howard of Waupun and Adaline Robbins of Wautoma; and brother, Melvin Robbins of Wautoma. Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral service for Marion E. Giffey will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2002, at Peace Lutheran Church, Rosendale with the Rev. Charles R. Thompson officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in the Rosendale Cemetery, Rosendale. Memorials to Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac.
