Marion K. Gruszynske, age 83, formerly of the American House of Ripon, died Sunday evening, April 22, 2001, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon after a short stay.
She was born November 10, 1917, in Bryon, the daughter of Steve and Anna (Resheske) Dudzinske. After graduating from Ripon High School she attended Berlin Normal School and taught schools in Ripon and Rosendale Center for six years. On January 6, 1941, she married john Frank Gruszynske at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon. Marion was a homemaker along with being a bookkeeper for her husbands livestock business. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic church, Christian Womens Club, and Homemakers Club. Marion belonged to two garden clubs and a card club and enjoyed gardening and playing cards.
She is survived by one brother, Alex (Rose) Dudzinske of Ripon; two step-children, Milton Gruszynske of Omro and Winifred Miller of Ripon; ten step-grandchildren to include Nancy (Mike) Huelster of Wautoma and LeRoy (Iris) Miller of Ripon; many step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a special friends, Ellen Grusczynski. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on October 15, 1978; and one brother, Donald Dudzinske.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 27, 2001, at 10 am at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon with Father Robert Fictum officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 7:30 pm with a prayer service at 7:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral home in Ripon. Visitation will also be Friday from 9 10:00 am at the church. Interment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. Memorials to the Arthritis Foundation or St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
