Marion Hyde

March 15, 1917 — May 17, 2001

Marion L. Hyde, age 84, of Ripon, WI died Thursday afternoon, May 17, 2001 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.

Marion was born on March 15, 1917, in Ripon, a daughter to William and Erna (Prill) Behnke. After graduating from Ripon High School, she graduated from Oshkosh Business College. On August 13, 1941, she married James W. Hyde. Marion had been an advertising associate at Speed Queen in Ripon for 30 years, and was a member of the 25-Year Club. She was a member of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ, the V.F.W. Auxiliary and a bowling league.

Marion is survived by a son, Phillip (Nancy) Hyde of FL; two daughters, Phyllis (Jack) Clarke of Oshkosh, WI and Kathy (Gary) Westhuis of Markesan, WI; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Erna Behnke; and her husband, James Hyde.

Visitation for Marion will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral service for Marion will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in ripon, with words of remembrance by her son-in-law, Jack Clarke. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Memorial gifts will be given to the Wisconsin Lions Camp Fund, Our Saviour's United Church of Christ, and Countryside Christian Church.
