Marion Long

Mrs. Marion Agnes Long, age 74, of Markesan, WI, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 1990, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 27, 1915, in Tigerton, a daughter of Sam and Rose (Schelter) Van Dorn. On September 22, 1934, she married Edward Long and he preceded her in death on September 29, 1979. Mrs. Long was a housewife and had resided in the Markesan area most of her life.
She is survived by one son, Donald of Markesan; two brothers, Sam Van Dorn of Markesan and Gerald Van Dorn of Alto; four sisters, Bernice Sturtz of Neenah, Beatrice Buhrow and Lucille Stollfuss both of Ripon, and Beverly Henslin of Green Lake; two granddaughters, Josie and Michelle Long.
Mrs. Long was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Markesan where her services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Dennis Meier officiating. Interment will follow at Mackford Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, 1990, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and Wednesday, May 23, 1990 from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services at the church. A memorial in her name has been established.
