Marion (Catherine) Schmitz of Fond du Lac, WI died at the age of 85 on Monday June 25, 2012.
Marion was born on January 11, 1927 to Henry and Martha (Webb) Kohlman. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family.
Marion is survived by her 11 children, Fred Schmitz of St. Cloud, Karen Mengel of Fond du Lac, Pat (Sharon) Schmitz of Lamartine, Cynthia Eiring of Mt. Calvary, Mary Meisenburg
(husband, Butch Gudex) of Malone, Michael Schmitz of Crystal Lake, Angelle (Dave) Onsrud of Rochester MN, Barb (Bill) Wasmer of Elkart Lake, Denise (Jim) Hess of Eden, Bernadette (Doug) Campbell of Pickett, Anne Schmitz of Fond du Lac; 25 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Ken (Marilyn) Kohlman, and Ron Kohlman; and 6 brothers and sisters-in-law Ambrose (Helen) Schmitz, Bernetta Pauly, Andrew (Zona) Schmitz, Anthony (Mae) Schmitz, Alvin (Donna) Schmitz, Virginia (Donald) Rahmer and (Rosie Schneider). She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred (Fritz) Schmitz, son-in-law Wayne Meisenburg, grandson Troy Eiring, great granddaughter Shayla Eiring and 6 brothers and sisters-in law.
Visitation for Marion Schmitz will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012, from 2 – 5:00 pm at Lighthouse Christian Church, 401 South National in Fond du Lac, WI, 54935.
Funeral service for Marion Schmitz will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 5:00 pm at Lighthouse Christian Church 401 South National, Fond du Lac, WI 54935. Pastor Brent Balken will officiate. Entombment will take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in the Town of Empire.
