Marjorie M. Selchow, age 88, of Green Lake, died Tuesday afternoon, November 30, 1999, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon after a short stay.
She was born September 20, 1911, to Albert Richard and Esther (Hoeft) Krueger. She attended Green Lake Schools, and on June 8, 1935, she married William Frederick Seichow. She was a member of the Federated Church of Green Lake, and the Womens Fellowship and Funeral Committee. Her family was the center of her life, and she enjoyed being a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marjorie was an excellent cook, canner, baker, and gardener, and will be remembered especially by her family for her apple kuchen and green salad. She had been a cook at Green Lake High School.
She is survived by sons, William Bill Selchow at home, Gene (Gerry) Selchow of Rockford, IL, and Dennis (Diane) Seichow of Ripon; grandchildren, Jeff (Teresa) Selchow of Milwaukee, Dennis Woods of West Hollywood, CA, Randy (Kathryn) Woods of Indianapolis, IN, Joe (Debbie) Selchow of Rockford, Kelly (Scott) Detweiler of Sussex, Jennifer Selchow of Rockford, Matthew Selchow of Madison, and Joy Selchow of Ripon; great-grandchildren, Kirshna & Cassidee Selchow, Byron & Justin Woods, Miranda Selchow, and Alexandra Detweiler; 1 sister-in~Iaw, Elsie Bridge of Appleton; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 1999, at 2:00 PM at the Federated Church of Green Lake with Pastor Karen Gygax Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery.
