Marland Louis Thiel, age 52, of Ripon, WI, passed away on December 23, 1986, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
Marland was born March 15, 1934, in Berlin, WI, the son of Louis and Erna (Albright) Thiel. He was educated in Ripon. Marland married Verna Collins on September 24, 1955 in Oshkosh. He worked as a truck driver for Colonial Container.
Survivors include his wife, Verna; three sons, Kelly, Patrick and Peter; three daughters, Kathy (Richard) May of Fond du Lac, Penny (Robert) Malzhan of Fond du Lac and Karen (Richard) Borgardt of Oshkosh; six grandchildren, two brothers, Louis of Chula Vista, CA and Paul of Green Bay and his mother, Mrs. Frank Lonkoski of Ripon. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation for Marland will be held on Friday, December 26, 1986, from 6 – 9:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Marland will be held on Saturday, December 27, 1986, at 1:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend James Mohr officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
