Marlin D. Solomon, age 60, of Oshkosh, WI, formerly of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Northpoint Nursing and Rehab in Oshkosh with his family by his side.
Marlin was born on June 3, 1951, the son of Marlin and Ann (Schmidt) Solomon. He worked as an appliance repair technician for Kossels and Ripon Bluemkes. Marlin loved his convertibles and his family. He had a big heart and was always eager to help anyone in need of it. Marlin will be missed greatly along with his spaghetti which he was famous for.
Survivors include one daughter, Jamie Rogers of Ripon, WI; three grandchildren, Austin, Noah and Aubrey all of Ripon, WI; two sisters, Ruby (Dave) Vasquez of Green Bay, WI and Heidi Rivera of Kenosha, WI; one brother, Tim Collins of GA; best friend, Julie Larsen of Oshkosh, WI; he was loved by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews and his two special companions, Bruce and Bear. Marlin was preceded in death by parents; grandparents; brother, Orin Olson; three sisters, Debbie Stein, Cindy Beauchamp and Jessie Wertz and one brother-in-law, Tato Rivera.
Celebration of Life for Marlin Solomon will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at 1:00 pm at Ceresco Park in Ripon.
