Martha Wells, age 69, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 1951 at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Martha was born in Ripon on January 7, 1882, the daughter of John and Wilhelmina (Rack) Luedtke. She lived in Ripon until 1933 and in Green Lake County after that. On September 20, 1920 she married Arthur Wells in Ripon. Martha was a member of the American Legion Auxillary.
Martha is survived by her husband, Arthur Wells of Ripon, WI; a sister, Dora Kropp of Milwaukee, WI; two nephews, Howard Kropp of Milwaukee, WI and Howard Reeck of Ripon, WI; four nieces, Dorothy Reek, Mrs. Harvey Badtke, Irna Kroll, and Carol Luedtke all of Ripon, WI; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Wilhelmina Luedtke.
Visitation for Martha will be held from 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 24, 1951 until 2:00 pm on Monday, March 26, 1951 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Martha will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 26, 1951 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Reverend E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
