Martha Eleanor Whitby, age 85, of Ripon, WI, passed away on December 3, 1986, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Martha was born September 11, 1901, in Woodville, WI, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Ferg) Strobush. She was educated in Woodville and after her marriage on June 23, 1962 to Richard Whitby until his passing on November 17, 1983, she was a housewife. Martha was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include one son, David Lungwitz of LaMesa, CA; three daughters, Irmgard (Ralph) Kleist of Packwaukee, Betty (Edwin) Krause of Ripon and Ruth Pautz of Oshkosh; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, and one step-son; two brothers, Jack Strobush of Woodville, WI and Arnold of Arizona; three sisters, Alma Walkerfuss of St. Paul, MN, Amanda Schnieder of Baldwin and Irene Meier of St. Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers.
Visitation for Martha will be held on Friday, December 5, 1986, from 5 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Martha will be held on Saturday, December 6, 1986, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Elmer Semenske officiating. Interment will follow at Loper Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
