Martin Bresnahan, age 83, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 1955, at the University Hospital in Madison.
Martin was born June 7, 1871, in Ripon, WI, the son of William and Catherine (Callahan) Bresnahan. On June 8, 1929, he married Anna Carter. Martin worked as a baggage man for the Milwaukee Road. He was a member of the Royal Order of Moose and Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife Anna; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Grossman of Fort Wayne, IN, Mrs. Gordon Ladwig and Mrs. Orville Hoth both of Ripon; one son, William of Portland, OR; two grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Minnie Potter and Mrs. Julia Henderson both of Ripon, Mrs. Eva Tilson, Mrs. Theresa Doenitz, Miss Nell, Nora, Erna of Fond du Lac and one brother, Harold of Fond du Lac.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 8, 1955, after 12:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Martin will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 1955, at 9:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon with The Reverend Clarence Schouten officiating. Interment will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon.
