Martin H. Priebe, 76, of R#2, Ripon, died Monday, July 17, 1989, at his home.
He was born May 18, 1913, in Portage to Fred and Lydia Zarling Priebe. On August 28, 1935, he married Margaret Wellner in Redgranite.
Mr. Priebe worked for Kramp Construction and the Mashuda Construction Company. He farmed in the Town of Brooklyn for 25 years and owned Priebe Trucking Company and the Princeton Stockyards. He was Town Chariman in the Town of Brooklyn, a member of the Green Lake County Board and a past Board Member of the Ripon Cooperative. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake and past Church Council President and had served on the Peace Lutheran School Board.
Survivors include his wife; 4 daughters, Dorothy (Harold) Weick of Lake City, Minnesota, Diana (Alan) Walsh of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Audrey (Bruce) Kelma and Gerri (Tom) Kono, both of Ripon; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Fred of Van Dyne, Walter of Arizona and Ed of Ripon and 4 sisters, Esther Sontag of Norfolk, Virginia, Edna Luedeke of Oshkosh, Ruth Weishan of Hortonville and Margaret Marotz of Sheboygan Falls. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Roger, 1 daughter, Gloria Wegner and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 pm, at the Peace Lutheran Church, Green Lake. The Reverend Rodney Dietche will officiate. Interment will be in the Bluffton Cemetery, Town of Brooklyn.
