Marvin Tucker H. Kroll, age 87, of Lane St., Ripon, died Friday morning, March 14, 2003, at Green Lake Manor, Green Lake with niece, Judy Maguire and nephew, John Kroll by his side.
He was born December 10, 1915, in Redgranite, a son to Gus and Eva (Cady) Kroll. Marvin attended school in Redgranite, and later served 2 years in the Army during WWII in the European-African Middle Eastern Theater. After the war, he worked as a machinist at Speed Queen in Ripon, retiring in 1977. In 1936, he married Leona Kemp at Dubuque, Iowa, and she preceded him in death in 1985.
Survivors include 1 sister, Grace Zwieger of Ripon; special friend, Audry Marvin of Ripon; sister-in-law, Erna Kroll of Ripon; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and 6 brothers, Arnold, Harold, Lyle, Arden, Halsey and Chester.
Funeral service for Marvin H. Kroll will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Rev. Mark West officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
