Marvin F. Malzhan, 77, of Ripon, died on Tuesday morning, June 20, 2000, at All About Life Rehabiliation Center in Fond du Lac.
Marvin was born on August 25, 1922 in Green Lake County, the son of Fredrick and Laura (Kumke) Malzhan Sr. He attended school in Green Lake. On May 5, 1951 he married Delores A Zills. Marvin was self employed in the trucking business. He served his country during WWII, in the US Army in the European Theater, holding the rank of Cip-Tec 5. Marvin was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon and served as a church greeter and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Schultz-Klemp-Wentland Post #5278 in Ripon.
Surviving Marvin is his wife of 49 years, Delores Malzhan of Ripon, three daughters; Carol (Allan W.) Seeliger, of Ripon, Joyce (Dr. Ronald P.) CampoPaiflo of Richfield, WI, and Nancy (Randall E.) Knecht of Crystal Lake, IL, three sisters; Irene Albright of Ripon, Lila Neal of Tucson, AZ, Doris Zaugg of Ripon, brothers; Vernard (Ruth) Malzhan of Ripon, Rhinold (Shirley) Malzhan of Hiles, WI, Arnold (Betty) Malzhan of Berlin, WI, Fredrick (Sharon) Malzhan Jr. of Ripon, and Robert Malzhan of Green Lake, WI. Five Grandchildren, Stacy (Shawn) Walter of Fox Lake, Billi Jo (Shaun) Kaufman of Berlin, Scott and Crystal Seeliger of Ripon, and Alison Knecht of Crystal Lake, IL. One great-granddaughter, Brianna Walter of Fox Lake, numerous nieces and nephews, and aunts. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Roy M. Malzhan, two sisters; Lucille Beier, and Lorraine Schuck, and two brothers; Herbert and Alvin Malzhan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon or to All About Life Rehab. Center in Fond du Lac.
Funeral services for Marvin will be held on Friday, June 23, 2000 at 11:00 am at Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon, with the Rev. Harley Tretow officiating. Friends may call on Thursday June 22, 2000, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon from 4:00 to 7:30 pm, at 7:30 pm there will be a VFW service held at the funeral home. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in the Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.
