Mary Cain, age 78, of Ripon, WI passed away on Saturday, March 19, 1955 at Fuller Nursing Home in Ripon.
Mary was born in Ripon on September 7, 1876, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Leach) Stewart. She resided in and around Ripon all of her life. On February 18, 1895 she married Stephen Cain, also in Ripon.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hilmer Redemann and Mrs. George Splitt both of Ripon, WI; three sons, Louis Cain of Ripon, WI, Clinton Cain of Denver, CO, and Arthur Cain of St. Louis, MO; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William Olive of Ripon, WI; and two brothers, James Stewart of Ripon, WI and Arthur Stewart of Lake Worth, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Stewart; her husband, Stephen Cain; a daughter; and a son.
Visitation for Mary will be held from 3:00 pm on Monday, March 21, 1955 until 9:00 am on Tuesday, March 22, 1955 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Mary will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday, March 22, 1955 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon, with Reverend Joseph Platta officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon.
