Mary Jane Hilscher, age 73, of the American House of Ripon, died Friday morning, July 25, 2003, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born November 20, 1929, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Henry and Henrietta Beyer. Mary Jane was educated in Beaver Dam. On September 3, 1949, she married Lester Hilscher, Sr. She had been employed at Medalist Sand Knit in Waupun for 30 years. Mary Jane had lived in Ripon most of her life, was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, and a member of the Womens V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Survivors include 3 sons, Lester (Kathy) Hilscher of Ripon, Henry (Debbie) Hilscher of Ripon and Scott (Nikki) Hilscher of Markesan; daughter Pat (Dean) Lisko of Beaver Dam; 11 grandchildren; Nicole, Sara, Laura, Heather, Kyle, Julie, Jana, Donna, Daniel, David and Gary; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence (Carol) Beyer; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Les; daughter, Faye; and brother, Lloyd.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2003, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Fritsch officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established in her name.
