Mary Ann Brooks Kinas, age 86, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015, at Kindred Hearts in Green Lake.
Mary was born December 15, 1928, the daughter of Raymond and Susan (Thrasher) Brooks. She graduated from Green Lake High School and attended two years at Lake Land College. On July 21, 1955, Mary married Donald E. Kinas. She was a charter member of The Federated Church of Green Lake and also of the Characters Club. She liked riding shot gun next to her husband, Don while driving around Wisconsin. Mary was an awesome mom, wife and friend.
Survivors include her children, Katie (Keith) Kinas-Warren of Green Lake, WI, Charlie (special friend, Tracy) Kinas of Germantown, WI, Oswald (special friend, Kandy) of Green Lake, WI, Bill (Lori) Kinas of Green Lake, WI, Ward Kinas of Green Lake, WI, Chris (Sue) Kinas of Princeton, WI and Letty (special friend, Matt) Kinas of Green Lake, WI; grandchildren, Kara, John, Mary Claire, Ben (Tiffany), Katelynn, Emily, Colin, Jake and Brad; great-grandson, Cameron; sister-in-law, Jan Brooks of Menomonee Falls and brother-in-law, Tip Haseltine of Redlands, CA and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Susan; husband, Donald, two brothers, Jack (Doris) and Bill Brooks; two sisters, Jane Haseltine and Letty (Clayton) Weingartner and daughter-in-law, Sherry Kinas.
Per the family’s wishes there will be a private family service held on Sunday, April 19, 2015. Reverend Karen Gygax Rodriguez will officiate. Inurnment will be held at Dartford Cemetery. A memorial is being established in her name.
