Mary E. McCann, age 75, of Ripon, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011, at her home with her family at her side.
Mary was born in Rosendale, WI, on August 25, 1935, the daughter of Claude and Esther (Zickert) Holterman. She graduated from Rosendale High School and she was a business women in Ripon, being the owner/operator of the Silent Women in Ripon. Mary married Thomas McCann, and was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas McCann of Ripon; one daughter, Kristi (Duane) Luker of Berlin; one grandson, Mason Luker of Berlin; six sisters, Wanda Pitt of Fond du Lac, WI, Joan (Kenneth) Fude of Rosendale, WI, Ruth (Ronald) Bradley of North Fort Myers, FL, Susan (William) Krueger of New Berlin, WI, Kay (Rudy) Hernandez of Hayward, CA, and Sandra (Joseph) Koenig of North Fort Myers, FL. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Barbara Shafer, and one brother David Holterman.
Per Mary’s wishes there will be a private memorial service held on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Pastor Sandra Krynik officiating. A memorial is being established in her name.
