Mary Shiverdecker

Mary Elizabeth (Will) (Sauer) Shiverdecker, age 77, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Whispering Pines Care Center in Ripon, with her family by her side.

Mary was born in Oshkosh, WI on November 16, 1944, the daughter of Gordon and Rosalie (Weitz) Will. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1963 and went on to earn her nursing degree at Moraine Park Technical College. On April 2, 1964, Mary married Arden Sauer who passed away in 2002. In 2008, she married Brian Shiverdecker in Joliet, IL. Mary enjoyed camping, fishing, snowmobiling, crocheting, dancing, playing cards, and most of all cherished time spent with family and friends.

Mary is survived by her husband, Brian Shiverdecker of Ripon, WI; four children, Jeff (Julie) Sauer of Waupun, WI, Rose (Brian) Bayer of Menomonee Falls, WI, Tony (Pam) Sauer of Brandon, WI, and Kurtis (Jodi) Sauer of Ripon, WI; nine grandchildren, Gavin (Briana) Zimmerman of Rock Springs, WI, Justin (Carly) Bayer of Menomonee Falls, WI, Cayla (Eric) Nigl of Appleton, WI, Courtney Bayer of Menomonee Falls, WI, Cassandra Sauer of Sun Prairie, WI, Dylan Sauer of Ripon, WI, Caleb Sauer of Waupun, WI, Breiana Sauer and Logan Sauer both of Brandon, WI; four great-grandchildren, Percy Zimmerman, Loretto Nigl, Pearl Nigl, and Amelia Bayer. She is further survived by other family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Arden Sauer; parents, Gordon and Rosalie Will; step-mother, Mary Ann Will; step-sister, Jean Berger; and mother and father-in-law, Arline and Lyle Sauer.

Visitation for Mary will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

Memorial service for Mary will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, with Pastor Doug Hanback officiating. Inurnment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon, WI. A memorial is being established in Mary’s name.
