Mary T. Wabiszewski (nee Thompson), age 76, of Green Lake, was born into eternal life October 4, 2009, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born on August 9, 1933, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Earl and Mary (Thayer) Thompson. Mary attended Whitefish Bay High School and Mount Mary College. She was a member of Saint Monicas Parish in Whitefish Bay for 70 years. Mary was a current member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. She loved to play golf at Bluemound, Tuscumbia, Lawsonia and Delray Dunes. Marys greatest love was to be surrounded by family and friends. Whether Mary was entertaining friends or playing golf, her friendship and warmth were contagious.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband Edmund, to whom she was married for over 55 years, along with her five children, Edmund (Lise) Wabiszewski, Michael (Deborah) Wabiszewski, Marty Johnson, Kathryn Wabiszewski and Susan Budsey; her 15 grandchildren, Karine, Eddie, Willy, Lizzy, Joe, Christina, Lauren, Mike, Madeline, Caroline, Christopher, Margo, Katy, Julia, and Maria; and her three great grandchildren, Augie, Charlotte, and Isabelle; and her sister, Patricia (Ted) Balistreri. Mary was preceded is death by her parents, Mary and Earl, and her brother, Tim Thompson.
Visitation for Mary Wabiszewski will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, from 5 8:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and then again on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, from 9 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake, 530 Ruth St. Green Lake, WI 54941.
Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Wabiszewski will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Father Philip Krogman will officiate with interment to follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, P.O. Box 215, Green Lake, WI 54941.
