Matthew Thor Boers

Matthew “Puffy” Thor Boers, age 40, of Ripon, WI, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.

Matthew was born February 26, 1975, in Ripon, the son of Roger and Debra (Berndt) Boers. He was a graduate of Ripon High School. He worked at Action Printers in Fond du Lac for fourteen years and was currently employed at the Wal-Mart in Berlin. Matthew collected comics, Transformers, and movies. He was a wonderful uncle to his nieces, Madison and Leighton and also passed on his love for super heroes and Transformers to them.

Survivors include his mother, Debra Boers; brother, Cody (Misty) Boers; nieces, Madison and Leighton Boers; grandfather, Melvin Berndt; uncles, Steven (LuAnn) Berndt and John (Bonnie) Berndt; aunt, Roxann Stracy and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Boers; grandparents, Lorraine Berndt and Lawrence and Ruth Boers; uncle, Ronald Stracy and many great Aunts and Uncles.

Visitation for Matthew Thor Boers will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015, from 4 – 7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again Saturday, August 1, 2015, from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Memorial Service for Matthew Thor Boers will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in the City of Ripon. A memorial is being established.
