Melanie Carlson

May 8, 1973 — May 13, 2009

Our beloved Melanie Carlson, 36, of Menasha, went to heaven Wednesday, May 13, 2009. She was a beautiful person both inside and out, with a heart of gold. Melanie had many struggles in life, but persevered as long as possible. Her greatest accomplishments were her children, Caitlin, Brooke, John, and Claudia. She delighted in them everyday, like any mother she shared in their triumphs and sorrows. As well as her children she was also very proud of her nephew Payton Bryden. She was loved by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed. Melanie was an administrative assistant at Jacob Engineering of Appleton.

Survivors include her children; her mother, Marilyn Kolerich of Ripon; one sister, Maureen (Chad) Bryden of Ripon; her husband, Michael Carlson; aunts, Jean Miller of Berwyn, IL, and Karrie Miller of Green Lake, WI; special friend, Joseph Roes; her “AWESOME” cousins, Bryan (Sherry) Miller, Jenn (Ron) Seno, Sherry (Michael) Williams, Tiffeny Miller, Joe Serio, Ann Kastenschmidt, Tracy (Steve) Egge, Carol (Shawn) Buetnner, and Michele (Dan) Berry. Melanie was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Donald and Genevieve Miller; her five uncles, Eugene, James, Donald, Richard, and Robert Miller.

Visitation for Melanie Carlson will be held on Friday, May 15, 2009, from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Funeral service for Melanie Carlson will be held on Friday, May 15, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. with the Reverend Donald Deike officiating. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
