Melvin Gibbons

Melvin W. Gibbons, age 67, of Ripon, WI, passed away on May 1, 1987, in Ripon at his brother’s home.

Melvin was born March 25, 1920, in Crookston, MN, the son of Galaneous and Bertha (Bishop) Gibbons. He was educated in Crookston, MN. He served our country in the United States Air Force. Melvin was owner of Gibbons Heating and Specialities for 30 years in Ripon.

Survivors include one sister, Esther Gandrud of Cupertino, CA, one brother, Wayne of Ripon and nieces and nephews. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.

Visitation for Melvin will be held on Sunday, May 3, 1987, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Funeral Service for Melvin will be held on Monday, May 4, 1987, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with The Reverend Carl Stubenvoll officiating. Interment will follow at Brandon Cemetery in the Village of Brandon.
