Melvin Elwood Ingram, age 90, of Ripon, WI, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021, at his home with family by his side.
Melvin was born November 16, 1930, in the taxi outside of the county hospital in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Clarence and Ethelyn (McClarren) Ingram. He served our country in the United States Army serving in the Korean War. On June 2, 1951, Melvin married Joann Buchholz in Ripon. He worked at Alliance Laundry Systems for 42 years. Melvin was a member of the V.F.W Schultz-Klemp-Wetland Post #5278 and 3rd Infantry Division Post #18 in Milwaukee.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Ingram (his angel); daughter, Robin Ingram, brother, Arthur Ingram and sister-in-law, Hazel Buchholz. He was further survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ethel, Margaret, Harriet Ingram and Katherine Kingland; brothers, Clarence and Norman; mother and father-in-law, Herb and Alice Buchholz; brother-in-law, James and Herbert Buchholz, Jr. Thor Kingland and sister-in-law, Marge Ingram.
Visitation for Melvin will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021, from 1 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Melvin will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Reverend Donald Deike officiating. A Final Salute with Military Honors will follow. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
