Melvin Miller

Melvin F. Miller, age 81, of Rosendale, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 1990, at his residence.

He was born March 2, 1908, in the Town of Utica, the son of John C. and Adelia (Mueller) Miller. On June 4, 1927, he married Lucille Zahn in Pickett. Mr. Miller was educated in the Town of Utica. He had farmed in Winnebago and Fond du Lac Counties until 1943. He then worked at the lumber company in Rosendale for five years and after that, was an insurance agent for 22 years until his retirement in 1969. Mr. Miller was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church of Rosendale, a member of the Mens Club of the Church, past Sunday School Teacher and a past member of the Church Council. He was a past member of the Lions Club, a past member of the Rosendale School Board and a member of the Pickett Senior Citizens.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert and his wife Marilyn of Rosendale and Eugene and his wife Irene of Ripon; two daughters, Marilyn Albrecht and her husband George of Rosendale and Julie Stellmacher and her husband Tom of Ripon; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Alma Ziesmer of Oshkosh and one brother, Arnold of Rowland Heights, CA. One sister and one brother preceded him in death.

Friends may call on Saturday, January 13, 1990, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and on Sunday, January 14, 1990, from 12:30 until the time of services at the Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale.

Funeral services for Mr. Miller will be held Sunday, January 14, 1990 at 1:30 p.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church, Rosendale. The Reverend Bruce Buslaff will officiate. Interment will be in the Rosendale Cemetery, Rosendale. A memorial has been established.
