Meredith Ackley

Meredith E. Ackley, 75, formerly of Milwaukee, died Dec. 3, 2002, in Ripon where she had lived the past few months. She was born July 14, 1927, in the state of Washington, the daughter of James and Gladys (Erling) Ackley. Meredith received her PHD from the University of Pennsylvania, and taught English at UW-Milwaukee until her retirement. She is survived by 1 cousin and many friends.
Per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorials in her name may be given to the National Alzheimer’s Research Center, 640 Jackson St, St Paul, MN 55101-2595 or the Wisconsin Humane Society, 4500 West Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53208.
