Merlin H. Belau, age 71, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 1985, at home.
Merlin was born August 16, 1913, in Kingston, WI, the son of Henry and Bessie (West) Belau. He married Edna Schwandt on June 21, 1941. Merlin worked as a dairy farmer and also worked with the Agriculture Records for the Co-op. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon and a past member of the Farm Bureau.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis of Green Lake, WI and Mark of Ripon, WI; daughter, Carol (John) Marquart of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren, one brother, Norman of Ripon, WI and two sisters, Inez Saniter of Beaver Dam, WI and Arlene Koehn of Green Lake, WI and mother, Bessie Belau of Beaver Dam, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife on December 31, 1968.
Visitation for Merlin will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 1985, from 7 – 9:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Merlin will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 1985, at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church with Reverend Carl Stubenvoll officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
