Michael Cartwright, age 62, of Ripon, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at his home.
Michael was born July 2, 1953, in Waupaca, WI, the son of Ronald and Dorothy (Jury) Cartwright Sr. He attended Oshkosh public schools. On October 20, 1979, Michael married Yvonne Rogers at Christ Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. He worked for Jackson Glass in Oshkosh as a window installer. Michael enjoyed playing Cribbage as well as other card games, sitting outside on the deck in the summer, visiting with people and playing with his dog, Dasher.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Yvonne Cartwright of Ripon, WI; one son, Johnathan (Alyssa) Cartwright of Oneida, WI; his faithful companion, Dasher; two sisters, Judy (Joe) Oesterreich of Omro, WI and Kathy Griswold of Oshkosh, WI; two brothers, Ronald (Cathy) Cartwright, Jr. of Green Bay, WI and Donald Cartwright of Winneconne, WI. Michael is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his parents.
Per Michael’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place. A memorial is being established in Michael’s name.
