Michael Vande Brink

Michael John Vande Brink, age 60, of Brandon, WI, passed away unexpectedly August 24, 2011, at Waupun Memorial Hospital in Waupun.
Mike was born on January 1, 1951, in Ripon, the son of Robert and Shirley (Splitt) Vande Brink. He graduated from Brandon High School. Mike was a self-employed carpenter for over 20 years. He was employed at Stellmachers in Fairwater and also Ripon Printers. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty Louise Vande Berg who preceded him in death on July 8, 2008. Mike was a member as well as had served as a Deacon of Bethel Reformed Church in Brandon. He also served as a volunteer fireman for the Brandon Fire Department. Mike was active in fishing, hunting and sporting events and enjoyed socializing and devoting a lot of time to his family.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula (John) Richter of Brandon, WI and Pamela (Tony) Sauer of Brandon, WI; one son, Kyle (Katie) Vande Brink of Fond du Lac, WI; his parents, Robert and Shirley Vande Brink; grandchildren, Cayla, Shaelynn, Britney, Breiana, Adam, Logan and Hailyana; brothers and sisters, Donald (Ann) Vande Brink, Bob (Rose) Vande Brink, Cathy ( Donald) Statz and Tom (Sheree) Vande Brink; nieces and nephews, Eddie Vande Brink, Eric (Melissa) Vande Brink, Jon (Pam) Vande Brink, Matt (DeAna) Vande Brink, Jennifer (Shawn) Dudzinski, Stacy (Carl) Avari-Cooper and Jamie (Jenny Ritucci) Statz and further survived by many more nieces and nephews-in-law; aunts and uncles, Ed (Marion) Vande Brink, Steve (Barb) Vande Brink, Mary Ellen Grahn, Jean Ann (Arden) Patchett, Donna (Ronnie) Brewer, Sharon (Dan) Sina, Joe (Janet) Vande Brink and Diane (Terry) Sauerbrei; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken Vande Berg, Keith Vande Berg, Diane Umbarger, Pat Vande Berg, Kathleen Cole and Jana Vande Brink; and special friend, Karen Wolke. Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; niece, Catherine Vande Brink; two brothers-in-law, Larry Vande Berg and William Umbarger and two sisters-in-law, Terrie Vande Berg and Donna Daane.
Visitation for Michael Vande Brink will be held Sunday, August 28, 2011, from
4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Monday, August 29, 2011, from 10 – 11:00 am at Bethel Reformed Church, 305 West Main St. Brandon, WI 53919.
Funeral Service for Michael Vande Brink will be held Monday, August 29, 2011, at 11:00 am at Bethel Reformed Church in Brandon. Pastor John Tilstra will officiate. Interment will follow at Brandon Cemetery in the Village of Brandon. A memorial is being established.
Mike’s passion to care for others, his beautiful smile and his overall dedication as a son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend shall be a memory in which will never fade.
