Mildred Sophia Liefke, age 88, Town of Green Lake, died June 30, 1999, at her home.
She was born May 10, 1911, in Marquette, a daughter to Carl and Ida (Bunch) Bauman. She attended Lake View School in Marquette. She married Elmer Liefke on October 1, 1928, in Waukegan, IL, and was a housewife. She was a member of Mt Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ripon.
Survivors include he husband, ELmer Liefke of Green Lake,
1 daughter, Carol Hervey of Green Lake; 1 son, Melvin (Donna) Liefke of Ripon, grandchildren, Marie (John) Innocenti of St Louis Park, MN, Sherry (Dave) Lukoski, Gary (Linda) Liefke, both of Ripon, Linda (Jim) Uecker of Oshkosh, and Elizabeth Schneider of Fond du Lac; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 2, 1999, at 11 AM at Mt
Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ripon with Pastor Paul Mose officiating.
Friends may call Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the
church. Interment will be in Green Lake Center Cemetery, Town of Green
Lake. A memorial has been established in her name for Alzheimers.
