Milton Morris

Milton H. Morris, age 81, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI surrounded by his family.

Milton was born on April 12, 1931, in Ripon, WI, the son of Joseph S. and Mary Ethel (Morris) Morris. He graduated from Ripon High School in 1949 and married his high school sweetheart Martha Ann Fiedler on February 17, 1951. Milton spent four years in the Air Force from 1951-1955. He was a Korean War Veteran. Milton graduated from Tri-State School of Engineering in 1957 and went to work for Speed Queen Co. where he spent his entire career in various management positions.

Over the years he has been active in the First Congregational Church of Ripon, UCC, Kiwanis, Jaycees, has served on the board of directors of Ripon Medical Center and as a tutor for the Winnebago and Green Lake County Literacy councils. He has been a long-time volunteer at Ripon Medical Center and a docent at EAA’s museum. Milton was a lifelong student with a wry sense of humor. He enjoyed golf, playing cards, relaxing with classical music, and spending time with his family. The only thing more important to him than his many friends was his family.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Martha Morris of Ripon, WI; two daughters, Linda (Reg) Draheim of Neenah, WI and Janet (Greg) Tucker of Richmond, VT; one son, Bill (Wendy) Morris of Oconomowoc, WI; six grandchildren, Amy Draheim of Los Angeles, CA, Andy Draheim of Tianjin, China, Dustin Rogalski of Anchorage, AK, Shane Morris, Mike and Sadie Rogalski of Oconomowoc, WI; one great-grandson Bentley Rogalski of Oconomowoc, WI; three sisters, Joanne Adamski of Ripon, WI, Phyllis (Richard) Kempfer of Ripon, and Marilyn Stollfus of Pickett, WI; two half-brothers, Joe (Linda) Morris of Ripon, WI and Elroy (Becky) Morris of Neshkoro, WI. He is futher survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Milton was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Miriam.

Visitation for Milton H. Morris will be held on Saturday April 28, 2012, from 10-11:00 am, at First Congregational Church of Ripon, UCC, 220 Ransom St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Memorial service for Milton H. Morris will be held on Saturday April 28, 2012, at 11:00 am at First Congregational Church of Ripon, UCC, 220 Ransom St., Ripon, WI. 54971. Reverend Greg Smith will officiate. A private inurnment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to First Congregational Church of Ripon, UCC, 220 Ransom St., Ripon, WI or Ripon Medical Center, 933 Newbury St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Milton was a caring, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who will be deeply missed by family and friends.
